A God-send apostle of magical realism, a master craftsman who stands tall on the unique path of storytelling etched by him and him only and the chronicler of the colorful life of the Caribbean Coast, Gabo: Gabriel Garcia Marquez is, perhaps, one of the most important literary figures of our times. Now, a visual portrait of the Nobel Prize-winning author, who died last year at the age of 87, is getting ready with the title, Gabo: The Creation of Gabriel Garcia Marquez.

Directed by Barcelona-based filmmaker Justin Webster and shot in Colombia (the writer’s native country), Cuba, France, Mexico, Spain and the Us, “Gabo” asks the question, “How did a boy from a tiny town on the Caribbean coast become a writer who won the hearts of millions? How did he change our perception of reality with his work?”
