New Delhi: Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi Manish Sisodia on Tuesday apparently made it clear that Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will be the CM candidate for Punjab polls.
Manish Sisodia was speaking at an election rally in Mohali.
Dropping a bombshell at the voters Sisodia said : “One brother was asking me here who will become CM of Punjab, I said you keep believing that Arvind Kejriwal will be the CM…whoever becomes the CM, it will be responsibility of Kejriwal to fulfill whatever promises that have been made.”
Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia during a rally in Mohali on Tuesday apparently made it clear that Punjab voters should assume that Arvind Kejriwal is their CM candidate.
Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) convener and Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal on January 4 had earlier said that the AAP won’t name any chief ministerial candidate in Punjab. Kejriwal said that a new CM would be elected by legislators after the polls. In Goa, the AAP has named former cop Elvis Gomes as its CM face.
Punjab legislative assembly election is set to be held on 04 February 2017 to select the 117 members of the Punjab Legislative Assembly.
The results election will be announced on 11 March. The AAP is very keen to break the current ruling coalition of Shiromani Akali Dal – Bharatiya Janata Party alliance led by Parkash Singh Badal.
