Megastar Amitabh Bachchan will be unable to attend the reception of UK-India Year of Culture. It has been described as a ‘rare invitation.’ He was personally invited for this event by Queen Elizabeth II and her husband,the Duke of Edinburgh.
They invited him for a special reception to launch the UK-India Year of Culture later this month.
In a published statement he said : “Yes,Mr Bachchan has been given a rare invitation by Queen Elizabeth and Buckingham Palace to grace the UK-India Year Of Culture reception,but unfortunately due to prior commitments, he will be unable to attend.”
Currently, he is gearing up for launching a trailer for the film ‘Sarkar 3’, scheduled for early next month.
His upcoming projects include Ayan Mukerji’s film ‘Dragon’, Kabir Khan’s ‘Thugs Of Hindustan’ and ‘Aankhen 2.’
