While the current Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy has begun his 5-year tenure with difficulties, the former CM Siddaramaiah has expressed his wish to be the CM again.
“I wish to become Chief Minister again. I am confident that people will bless me,” former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said at Hadya in Holenarsipur taluk on Friday.
Addressing a gathering in Hassan, Siddaramaiah claimed that the Opposition joined hands to prevent him from becoming the chief minister for the second time.

“All opponents joined hands only to prevent me from becoming Chief Minister for a second consecutive term.”
“I thought people will bless me once again and make me the chief minister. Unfortunately, I lost, but this is not the end. In politics wins and losses are common,” he asserted.
The Congress leader said he had worked for the welfare of all sections of people during his tenure. “But the people did not support me in the election. These days politics is driven by money power and caste. This is dangerous to democracy.”
Siddaramaiah was at Hadya to take part in the inauguration of a temple.
