Baahubali 2: The Conclusion is the sequel to the 2015 blockbuster Baahubali: The Beginning. Actors Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, Sathyaraj, Nassar, Tamannaah and Ramya Krishnan have reprised their roles from the original film in Baahubali 2. The first film ended on a cliff-hanger where the ever-loyal Kattappa was seen stabbing Baahubali from behind. Audiences all over India were eager to know for the next two years as to why Kattappa killed Baahubali. Much of the Baahubali 2 craze has been attributed just to people wanting answers to “Why Kattappa killed Baahubali?”.
Among the many records Baahubali 2: The Conclusion has broken, some of the main ones are:
- Highest ever first-day box office collection: Rs 121 crore (all languages)
- Highest ever weekend box-office collection: Rs 128 crore (Baahubali 2’s Hindi version)
- Has crossed Rs 500 crore in three days (gross box-office collections worldwide)
- Highest opening ever for a dubbed film; Baahubali 2’s Hindi version earned Rs 41 crore on its opening day.
Now, Baahubali 2’s Hindi version earned Rs 41 crore on its opening day and thereby beat Aamir Khan’s Dangal (Rs 29.78 crore) and Salman Khan’s Sultan (Rs 36.54 crore) respectively at the box office as far as first-day collections are concerned.
