A Member of Parliament on Wednesday urged Maoists to kill political leaders instead of security personnel, saying the former “looted” the country while the latter provided it security.
“Politicians (leaders) are looting the country, so Maoists should first kill them,” the expelled RJD leader said in Hajipur town.
Pappu urged the Maoists not to kill the security forces. “Maoists should kill those who have been looting the country.”
Now heading the Jan Adhikar Party, Pappu Yadav also asked Prime Minister Narendra Modi why Maoist attacks continued despite demonetisation.
“Modi had claimed that corruption, terrorism and Maoist problems will be eliminated after demonetisation,” he said.
Pappu Yadav defeated Sharad Yadav in the 2014 general elections. His wife Ranjeet Ranjan, an MP from Supaul, is a Congress leader. In July 2015 Pappu Yadav was given ‘Y’ category security by the Union Home Ministry. In 2015 Bihar elections he formed his own party, Jan Adhikar party and contested at 40 seats. His party failed to make any impact and could barely capture 2 percent of the votes it wished do capture.
