Kochi metro is all set to launch its services as it gets the safety certificate from CMRS(Commissioner of Metro Rail Safety).
Kochi Metro Rail Limited(KMRL) now can decide on the day from which they could start their services. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been officially invited to inaugurate the metro services.
Modi is expected to come by the end of this month to inaugurate the Metro services.
The CMRS Commissioner who inspected the Kochi Metro has suggested certain minor changes to KMRL.
In the first stage it will operate at a 13km stretch from Aluva to Palarivattom with 11 stations in the route.
The second stage will have the metro run in Thrippunitura, Infopark and Nedumbaserry.
