The Kannur Town Police on Tuesday registered a case against the BJP state president, Kummanam Rajasekharan for posting fake video in a social site.
The case was registered under Section 153 A of the IPC.
The case was registered based on a complaint filed by SFI leader, P P Mohammed Siraj who demanded action against Kummanam for posting a ‘fake’ video of CPM men celebrating the murder of RSS leader Choorakadu Biju.
In the complaint, the SFI leader said Kummanam tried to incite violence between the BJP and CPM workers in Kannur district.
The complaint was initially filed before Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and DGP T P Senkumar.
