‘Fiat Argo’ the new hatch back model of Fiat starts sale on June 2017 in Brazil, replacing the ageing Punto which debuted in 2005. Speaking of the exterior styling, Fiat Argo hatch flaunts a wide-mouthed front grille with belligerent LED signature headlamps. The front fascia appears rugged and is largely inspired by the Tipo sedan.
The bumper sports a maroon highlight, while grey ORVMs and rear spoiler, precision-cut large alloy wheels and a chrome-tipped trapezoidal exhaust sum up the styling of the hatch.
The company hasn’t released any image of the interior cabin but the spy-shots acquired earlier have diclosed the presence of a large colour multifunction display, three-spoke multifunction steering wheel, Uconnect infotainment system with a freestanding display, paddle shifters and cruise control.
Mechanically, the Argo hatch would be introduced in petrol fuel trim only with three engine options: 1.0L FireFly, 1.3L FireFly and 1.8L EtorQ Evo.
The smallest 1.0L FireFly engine would develop maximum power of 72bhp and peak torque of 102Nm. It would be linked to a 5-speed manual transmission as standard. Coming to the 1.3L 4-cylinder engine, it generates top power of 101bhp and highest torque of 134Nm.
Besides the 5-speed manual transmission, it would also be offered with the 5-speed Dualogic automated manual transmission. Last but not the least, the 1.8L EtorQ Evo engine would belt out 135bhp and 184Nm, while available with a 5-speed manual gearbox and a 6-speed automatic gearbox.
