Gaanam Nair, who is a model and a film maker based on Chennai has been missing for the last four days.
Gaanam Nair aka Jikki Padhoo,was last seen on the morning of May 26, was travelling from Virugambakkam to Nungambakkam on a black Honda Activa when she went missing. A campaign has been launched on social media with netizens urging people to help in tracing Gaanam Nair.
The KK Nagar police has registered a case of ‘missing person’ and is trying to locate Gaanam Nair. According to police, her mobile phone was switched off and the investigation is underway from all possible angles.
Gaanam, according to the police, stays with her aunt and cousins in Chennai. She describes herself as a photographer on her Facebook page and is also a fashion blogger. Relatives however told TNM, that she was a marketing manager at a salon.
Her mother is no more and her father resides in New Delhi. She stays with her aunt and cousins in Chennai. She had told relatives that she was going to work on Friday morning, but she didn’t reach her workplace, which is in Nungambakkam. After initial investigation, the police has learnt that Gaanam didn’t take the usual route to reach office on the day she went missing.
Meanwhile, Gaanam’s friends and relatives have taken to social media to express their angst and worry.
