Motorola launched Moto C in India at Rs. 5,999, and it will be available at leading offline retailers across over 100 cities in India. It will be available in Pearl White and Starry Black colour variants in India.
The Moto C comes with the capacitive touch buttons on the front, a circular camera module on the rear, and Moto branding placed below it. The speaker grille is placed on the rear end, the power button and volume rocker are on the right. The 3.5mm audio jack along with the USB port are placed on the top.
Moto C features a 5-inch FWVGA display with 854×480 pixels resolution, and it is powered by a 1.1GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6580M processor paired with 1GB RAM, and 8GB internal storage. On the software front, the Moto C runs on Android 7.0 Nougat.
The Moto C features a 5-megapixel rear camera with auto-focus, LED flash. Other features include Burstmode, Panorama, HDR, beautification mode. It can also record 720p videos @30fps. The front camera is 2-megapixels with fixed focus. The smartphone packs a removable 2,350mAh battery. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, and Bluetooth 4.2.
At this price range, the Moto C will face tough competition from a host of devices, especially the Xiaomi Redmi 4A. Priced at Rs 5,999, the smartphone comes with features like 5-inch HD (720p) IPS display, Snapdragon 435 octa-core SoC, 16GB storage, and 2GB of RAM. Other features include a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and phase detection auto-focus (PDAF) support, 5-megapixel selfie snapper, 4,100mAh battery.
