India on Thursday defeated Bangladesh by nine wickets in the semifinal of the Champions Trophy 2017, setting up a summit clash with Pakistan on Sunday.
Rohit Sharma led India’s charge, scoring an unbeaten 123 runs to power the Blue Caps past Bangladesh’s total of 264/7 in just 40.1 overs. He was ably assisted by captain Virat Kohli who scored 96 and also remained unbeaten.
Earlier, a disciplined bowling by Kedar Jadhav (2-22) and Jasprit Bumrah (2-39) restricted Bangladesh to 264/7 in the stipulated 50 overs.
