Prime Minister Narendra Modi officially announced the inauguration of Kochi Metro at the inaugural function held at Kaloor International Stadium in Kochi. State welcomed PM all festivities.
Prime Minister was accompanied by Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, Kerala Governer P.Sadasivam, Union Minister Venkaiah Naidu, Metro man E Sreedharan and Kummanam Rajasekharan President of the Bharatiya Janata Party in Kerala.
Inaugural functions beginning with Sanskrit Prayer. Managing Director and Director, Kochi Metro Rail Limited, Mr Elias George IAS gave the welcome speech.
