In Telangana’s Reddy District, a two-year-old girl fell into an open borewell sometime back and has apparently the depth of the borewell is 60 feet where the girl is stuck. As of the rescue operations are underway. The toddler is identified as Veena, the daughter of a migrant labourer.
The incident took place in Ikkareddiguda village at around 7.30 pm, the girl was with her father when she accidentally fell into the borewell. As per the Assistant Commissioner of Police (Chevella Division) Ch Sruta Keerthi the depth of borewell is 60 feet. He also said that for the rescue operations the earth excavating machines are being used.
As per reports, the landlord of Veena tried to dig a borewell sometime back but after failing to do so he left it open.
Keerthi told that it is getting difficult to pull the girl out but the operation is continuing with the help of lights.
After learning about the incident, Telangana Transport Minister P Mahendar Reddy rushed to the spot and supervising the rescue operations.
