10-year-old Leon Ashworth found a toy panda while shopping with his mum. He cuddled the toy but his mother asked him to leave the toy as she cannot afford it right now.
He felt heartbroken to leave his favourite toy but what he did in response to his mum’s comment went viral in social media.
He found an empty cardboard box, popped the panda inside it and quietly wrote a message on the box, ‘My mum didn’t have enough money to buy me Pandy so she’s buying me Pandy on 15th June so please don’t buy him as it will make me cry. Thank you so much from Hopeful Future Owner.”
Later the shop owner saw the message and posted the picture on Facebook. Debbie Ashworth, who immediately recognised her son’s handwriting.
The Asda crew invited the mum and her son back to the store, and had a wonderful surprise waiting for them, they gifted the panda to Leon Ashworth for free cost.
