Enforcement Directorate raids on Lalu Prasad’s daughter’s residence

Enforcement Directorate (ED) searched a Delhi farmhouse of RJD chief Lalu Prasad’s daughter, Misa Bharti, in connection with a corruption case. The raid is in a day after the series of raids on properties linked to the former Bihar chief minister.

Bharti, a Rajya Sabha MP, was also likely to question, the official added. She was questioned last month by Income Tax officials for more than five hours in connection with an over Rs 1,000-crore worth land deals case.

Lalu Prasad and his family members are accused of acquiring prime property across states through suspicious deals. However, he denies the charges.

Prasad, his wife Rabri Devi and their son Tejashwi, who is the deputy chief minister of Bihar, are named in the case.
