At Anugraha Layoyt in Bilekanahalli, residents had to use pump sets to remove the water from their houses. “Early in the morning, water came into my house. I was so fed up with throwing the water out, I decided to take a hotel room. But then the rain stopped,” said Pramod, of the residents.
Bengaluru witnessed traffic snarls on major arterial roads like Double Road, Shantinagar and Hosur Road because of waterlogging. Maximum damage was caused in east and southeast Bengaluru, while the northern part of the city received only 8 cm of rain.
