The Police department of Abu Dhabi has warned residents against illegal use of fireworks during Eid Al Adha holidays. The warning is issued as the part of Abu Dhabi Police’s ‘Your Security is Our Happiness’ initiative. It is in line with its efforts to enhance residents’ awareness of preventive measures to protect them from risks and promote safety.
Brigadier Salem Hamoud Al Baloushi, director of the firearms and explosives department at Abu Dhabi Police, called on parents to monitor their children and to prevent them from the use of fireworks or firecrackers during the Eid holidays.
He also asked youngsters and the general public to stay away from the use of fireworks and all other practices that may lead to material losses, environmental pollution, or fires and put the safety of the community and property at risk.
