Panasonic has launched its new budget smartphone, the P9, in India.Panasonic P9 comes with 5-inch FWVGA display (854×480 pixels) which is protected by Asahi Dragon Trail glass atop. It runs on Android 7.0 Nougat and is powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT 67373M 64-bit processor.
The device houses 1GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage which can be expanded up to 32GB via a microSD card. On the camera front, it has an 8MP primary camera with LED Flash and f/2.0 aperture and a 5MP front facing camera. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.0.
The P9 will be available in Champagne Gold and Black colour variants and is backed by a 2210mAh battery. The device will be available across offline and online retail platforms in the country.
Recently the company had also launched the Panasonic Eluga I2 Active smartphone priced at Rs 7,190. The Panasonic Eluga I2 Active comes in two variants — the 2GB RAM variant is priced at Rs 7,990 and the 1GB RAM variant is priced at Rs 7,190. The device is available in three different colors — Gold, Rose Gold and Grey.
It runs Android 7.0 Nougat operating system out-of-the-box. The smartphone sports a 5-inch HD display with 1280×720 pixel resolution. It is backed by a 2200 mAh battery and flaunts an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera for selfies.
In terms of connectivity, the dual sim-hybrid (2G+3G +4G VoLTE) device offers Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS. The smartphone runs on 1.25 GHz quad-core MT6737 MediaTek processor and comes with 16GB of internal storage which can be expanded up to 128GB. The device measures 143×71.2×7.95mm and weighs 133g.
