While a lot of us still try to pay attention to fashion, there was once upon a time, a very interesting t.v character – Carrie Bradshaw. She was the perfect New Yorker: afraid of emotional stability, always fashionable and had the glamorous job. The show became a cult within no time and competed with shows like friends. It was known as the t.v series that launched a thousand fashion trends. And it looks like it is on it’s way to create another.
Way back in 2000, Carrie Bradshaw wore giant Chanel flowers on Sex and the City’s third season. They took her through dating Aiden (good Carrie), cheating on Aiden (bad Carrie), stalking Natasha (No, Carrie!), and of course, drinking champagne with a tween Kat Dennings. The Missoni runway, the famous Italian brand tried hard to bring them back. They bloomed on blazers, capes, outerwear, and evening gowns, and came in Technicolor hues like backlit violet and blue-almost-black.
From the looks of it all, I think that this could be another come back for Carrie?
Would she still school us on fashion long after the series and the movies are out of commission? Jeeze. I need a better wardrobe.
If it is any indication, I think the next trend would be 3-D printed flowers with glotter and the option to glow-in-the-dark.
