‘Jimikki Kammal…’ song from superstar Mohanlal’s new film Velipadinte Pusthakam, that was sung by Vineeth Sreenivasan and Renjith Unni went viral as soon as it landed on the internet.
Sheril danced to Jimikki Kammal song along with the members of her college and uploaded it on YouTube as part of Onam celebration. Little did she know, she will become an internet sensation overnight. It even impressed American talk show host Jimmy Kimmel.
Sheril’s video has raked in nearly 17 million views and has also inspired many others to upload their own versions of the song. It is called Jimikki Kammal dance challenge.
To thank the people for making the song such a big hit, Mohanlal along with his Velipadinte Pusthakam team has made his own version of Jimikki Kammal video. “Thanks to all those who pulled up their dancing shoes and took part in #JimikkiDanceChallenge. The song #JimikkiKammal is a success worldwide, only because of the incredible support from all of you,” he wrote on his Facebook page.

Mohanlal makes a dramatic entry and starts matching his steps to beats of the songs with grace. “The song that has got everybody dancing have made me too to take a few steps.
“Here’s my version of #JimikkiKammal with the participants of dance challenge, and team Velipadinte Pusthakam,” he captioned the video while sharing it on Facebook.
Mohanlal is currently shooting for his upcoming film Odiyan and is awaiting the release of Villain.
