Ingredients of Papaya Halwa
5 cup papaya
4 green cardamom
6 tablespoon sugar
For Garnishing
15 grams cashews
For The Main Dish
4 tablespoon ghee
2 and 1/2 tablespoon milk powder
How to make Papaya Halwa
Step 1
Heat ghee in a pan over medium flame. Add grated papaya to it and cook for 10 minutes. Keep on stirring until the fruit releases all its juices and changes colour.
Step 2
Once the papaya is cooked, add sugar to it and continue cooking until you see the ghee separating.
Step 3
Now add milk powder and cardamom to this cooked papaya and cook it for 10 more minutes on medium flame or until the entire mixture binds together.
Step 4
Garnish the dessert with halved cashews. Serve it warm or you can also serve this delicious halwa recipe as a cold dessert too.
