Pakistan, it seems has many faces, if the following report is to be believed, the country is said to be constructing a massive network of underground tunnels to store a stock of 140 nuclear weapons it has already built.

As per news website which published this report, the storage site is in Thamewali of Mianwali district in the Punjab province of Pakistan, which is located 350 km from Amritsar, 550 km from Chandigarh, and 750 km from New Delhi.

The report alleges that the nuke facility, which is heavily fenced, comprises of three interconnected tunnels – each 10X10 meters in height and width.

In a bid to facilitate the movement of transporter erector launchers (TEL), wide roads are built around the tunnels, which have separate entry and exit gates. Notably, transporter erector launchers are used to fire one or more missiles.

As per available intelligence, each tunnel can store anything between 12-24 nuclear weapons.

The facility, which also houses a mosque, reportedly got a No Objection Certificate despite falling in an earthquake-prone area.
