Samsung launches ‘Galaxy J2 -2017’ in India.The new Galaxy J2 (2017) edition come with 4G support, while the key highlight of the device is its Ultra Data Saving feature. This feature works in a way that it saves a lot of mobile data.

Samsung is yet to announce the availability of the smartphone. By launching the Galaxy J2 (2017) Samsung is basically trying to target the budget phone category after announcing a range of premium phones including the Galaxy S8, S8 Plus and also the Galaxy Note 8.

Display: 

The new Galaxy J2 (2017) is a little smaller in size when compared to the 2016 edition J2. The phone comes with a 4.7-inch QHD Super AMOLED display with 540×960 pixels resolution. While on the other hand, the 2016 edition of the phone comes with a 5-inch Super AMOLED capacitive display.

Software: 

J2 (2017) runs on Android OS.

It is powered by 1.3GHz quad-core Exynos processor.

RAM: 

1GB RAM

Storage: 

Samsung Galaxy J2 (2017) comes with 8GB of internal storage, which is expandable up to 128GB via microSD card.

Front camera: 

The smartphone features a 2-megapixel selfie camera.

Rear camera: 
Galaxy J2 (2017) comes with 5-megapixel camera at the rear panel.

Battery: 

The phone is backed by a 2000mAh battery. Samsung claims that the phone lasts for about 9 hours of internet use, 41 hours of playback time, and 12 hours of talktime.

Price and availability

Samsung Galaxy J2 (2017) comes with a price tag of Rs 7,350. The company hasn’t revealed the availability details of the device as of yet, but will soon do so in the days to come. Samsung Galaxy J2 (2017) comes in two colour variants — Metallic Gold and Absolute Black.
