The day, what started out as normal took a turn for the worse by 9 am. A in-the-process-of-reform convict, lost control and started shooting at his work place yesterday.
Radee Labeeb Prince, 37 shot 5 employees of Advanced Granite Solutions on Wednesday morning. The establishment is in a business park in Edgewood, Maryland, about 40 miles northeast of Baltimore. It is reported that 3 of the victims died while 2 are in critical condition.
The suspect then drove off to a used car dealer in Wilmington where he shot a contact, who fortunately survived. The offender was reported seen speeding off in a 2008 GMC Acadia with Delaware license plates.
A day’s hunt for the criminal ended shortly before 7:30 pm. “Prince was apprehended a short time ago in Delaware by ATF (federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives) and allied law enforcement agencies,” the office announced on Twitter.
A family member said that Prince was raised in a loving family, albeit a strict father.
Apparently, the Wednesday shooting was not Prince’s first strike. His previous employer, owner of JPS Marble and Granite was threatened by Prince for not paying his ‘unemployment benefits’ while he was already working for Advanced Granite Solutions. He was fired for punching an employee on the face. He has been repeatedly booked for various non-violent offences and a few convictions. The details of the arrest were not made public, but it is reported that he did not shoot randomly and the Wilmington victim had a criminal history with the suspect.
The neighbors of Advanced Granite Solutions reported they heard arguing among several people, but did not hear anything resembling gunshots.
