Pakistan’s opposition party Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Dr. Naushad was shot dead by unidentified assailants in Hyderabad (in Pakistan) on Wednesday. He was shot while he was returning home in his car after dropping off his children at school. An unidentified man on a motorbike opened fire at him.
Police are investigating the incident and the motive behind the killing. The victim was a veterinary doctor and has recently returned from London where he remained associated with MQM. Police shifted the body to Liaquat University Hospital, Hyderabad for medico-legal formalities.
Earlier in September, another MQM leader Khawaja Izhar Hassan had managed to escape unhurt after unknown assailants on three motorcycles attacked him.
