External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj seeks a report on a Swiss couple attacked in Fatehpur Sikri in UP. The couples were attacked with sticks and stones. The couples were natives of Lausanne in Switzerland. A 24-year-old, Quentin Jeremy Clerc and his girlfriend Marie Droz came to India on September 30. Quentin Jeremy Clerc has been hospitalized in Delhi’s Apollo hospital and has reportedly suffered a skull fracture and a clot in the brain. The blows on his head have also affected his hearing.
As per reports, the couple was followed by four men while they were in Fatehpur Sikri, the attackers chased the couple and tried to strike a conversation. After sometimes the attackers tried to take pictures with them against their will. Then they start hitting both of them. The shocking part is that the onlookers were busy recording the incident on their phone while the couple was going through the horrendous ordeal. One of the accused has been arrested by the police.
External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj today sought information from the Uttar Pradesh Government on a news report of a young Swiss couple being attacked by a group of youths in the Fatehpur Sikri on Sunday. She also said that her office will reach out to the couple. “I have just seen this. I have asked for a report from the state government. My officers will reach them in the hospital,” Swaraj tweeted.
