Jebel Jais, the tallest peak in the UAE, is set to strike a chord with music lovers in the country as it prepares to host ‘Vivaldianno’ for the country’s classical aficionados today.
The 3D event, Vivaldianno – City of Mirrors, is a global sensation devised by award-winning Czech musician and film composer Michal Dvorák.
Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority (RAKTDA), which is organizing the event, has announced that roads to Jebel Jais will be closed today for the event, which starts at 7pm. Set at 1,600 metres above sea level, the dazzling live performance will be attended by His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, and other dignitaries.
Ticket holders will be able to park in a dedicated car park at the foot of Jebel Jais, and will be taken by special shuttle buses to the concert site. Doors will open at 4.30pm, and close at 6.45pm. Last shuttles will leave the car park at 6:30pm.
“Vivaldianno is a first for the UAE and offers up a genuine sensory overload at one of the emirate’s most iconic landmarks.”
