New addition to Yogi’s saffronisation list after Chair, Buses and Electric Poles

UP Chief Minister’s office changed color to saffron instead of traditional white and blue. The Lal Bahadur Shastri Bhavan, also known as the secretariat annex building get touched with CM yogi’s favorite color today. Earlier buses, curtains, chairs and electric poles were saffronized by the Yogi government.

The Estate Department Officials informed that everything from the outer walls to the terrace of the building will be coated in the saffron shade. Besides new coat, the building is also getting revamped. Reportedly, a proposal was recently made for repairing and painting the building and saffron color was approved by all.

Referred as Mahant Ji by his followers,  Yogi is always seen in saffron-colored outfits and according to the various media reports. Yogi government’s decision did not go down well with the Opposition and they charged the state government with saffronizing official buildings. Hitting out at the CM, Samajwadi Party spokesperson Rajendra Chaudhary said,”This is all about “saffronisation” of the state and its politics.”

Recently, the chief minister had flagged off a fleet of 50 saffron-colored buses and even the stage for the inauguration was decorated with saffron-colored curtains and balloons. Besides this, the education department had distributed saffron-colored school bags to primary schools students and the booklets that were distributed to mark 100 days and six months of the Adityanath government were saffron in color as well. The information department diary of the state government also bears a saffron color.
