Uttar Pradesh Shia Waqf Board Chief Wasim Rizvi on Tuesday met with Sri Sri Ravi Shankar in Bengaluru, where the duo discussed the matter of the Ram Temple issue. Addressing the media, Rizvi said his meeting with the spiritual leader was positive.
The meeting is believed to have lasted for one hour and was the second instance where Sri Sri Ravi Shankar met with the Waqf Board Chairman to mediate the burning issue of the Ram Mandir dispute.
Rizvi said, “We are the real stakeholders here,” adding that the board welcomes Sri Sri’s initiative. He went on to say that the construction of the Ram Temple can begin as early as 2018.
