Buckle up these three golden rules of safe driving in UAE

The Road accidents in UAE is a serious threat to stay alive in Roads. The statistics show that over a 2000 accidents happen in the early half this year in UAE. The kill by accident and injuries made by the collisions also shows a drastic count in UAE. Over a 100 people died in road accidents in Dubai alone. About 315 lives claimed by accident overall the country for the first half this year.

UAE Ministry of Interior’s General Directorate of Traffic Coordination results shows that most of the accidents are mainly due to the stressful commuter’s rash driving. Shifting out of the fast lane when spotting someone above the speed limit coming up behind and careless driving are some of the reasons behind the accidents.

Go through these 3 golden rules to stay safe on UAE roads and buckle it with your daily driving habit.

Rule #1: Be gentle on road and keep lane discipline

Results show that 20 percent of road accidents are due to poor lane discipline by the drivers. When a vehicle changes the track abruptly without using an indicator the vehicle coming behind tries to get into their position faster on the other track. This kind of lane swerving should be avoided.

Majority of the drivers don’t use an indicator while changing track, even the drivers who were using an indicator get into an accident failing to detect a vehicle in their blind spot. Always use an indicator and check your shoulders while changing lane.

Rule #2: Beware of merging in queue jump intersections

Avoid queue jumping on roads. A queue jump intersection is a type of roadway geometry used to provide preference to buses at intersections, often found in bus rapid transit systems. Don’t try to take the same lane exit used by another lane. It may kill you and others. Queue jumpers will roll past the vehicles waiting in line before stopping at its head with an indicator on. It may lead to the sudden breaking of the car in the other lane and cause a serious accident by piling up vehicles behind the stopped car.

Rule #3: Don’t take a reverse recklessly

Don’t take a reverse either for parking your vehicle without proper judging of vehicles around you is also a serious problem. The most of the incidents are reporting on tight car parking lots as in school zones. Reversing in a hurry berry will cost you some danger to your car and yourself as well.
