In a recent interview to a leading daily, Raju Mahalingam, the creative head of Lyca Productions had confirmed that there is no change in the release date of 2.0. He also added that 2.0 will be targeting for a massive release of 10,000 screens as well.
“As of now, the release date of the film is January 25. No change in that. We are targeting at least 10,000 screens for 2.0, making it one of the widest releases after Baahubali: The Conclusion. The movie will be released in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu, and in foreign languages after the Indian release. 2.0 will also be released in 3D as well”, Raju Mahalingam said.
Earlier Akshay Kumar announced the release date of his upcoming Bollywood film Padman as 26 January 2018. Though Padman was initially slated to release on 13 April 2018, but the sudden release change date of the film has inspired many media to report that the release date of 2.0 will be postponed from its release.
