On the 3rd of November, the United Arab Emirates celebrates their National Flag Day with an unmatched passion with leaders, citizens and residents participating in flag hoisting events in public and private sectors.
“The UAE flag is a symbol of our union and strength and a source of pride for our forefathers and sons,” said His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, on the occasion of the Flag Day.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, marked UAE Flag Day with his daughter Sheikha Al Jalila and hundreds of young students at the historic Union House, where the documents were signed that created the Arabs world’s historic federation of states on December 2, 1971.
November 3rd also marks the anniversary of President His Highness Khalifa bin Zayed al Nahyan, when he became the president in 2004.
The UAE flag will always be a symbol of unity and a source of pride that will constantly inspire the people to continue on their journey of development and progress that was commenced by the founding fathers led by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.
The Flag Day was celebrated across UAE on the 2nd of November by all government departments, organizations, private sector companies, schools, colleges and individuals with a plethora of activities in which Emiratis and residents came together showing their shared love of the country. The nation celebrated at 11 am with flag-raising events and activities.
