A group of gunmen attacked a private television station in the Afghan capital Kabul today. The attackers broke into the building after an explosion. The attackers are more to be ISIS terrorists, but no one takes the responsibility till now.
There is no official description about the casualties. Reportedly between two and five people appeared to have lost their lives in the attack.
According to Kabul Police Spokesperson, Basir Mujahid said casualties were feared but the number was still unclear.
He said that a huge explosion happened at the main gate of the TV station and few gunmen who stormed in follows. One of the attackers was killed immediately but others fought off security forces with hand grenades.
After the attack news came out the TV station, a Pashto language broadcaster, Shamshad TV stops working and only a still image is transmitting.
Taliban insurgents issued an immediate denial that they were involved.
