Suzuki Motorcycles finally launched the all-new Intruder 150 cruiser motorcycle in India today.
The new cruiser motorcycle is not only based on the same platform as that of Suzuki Gixxer but also shares the mechanical equipment’s with the latter. Taking its inspiration from Suzuki M1800, a full-size cruiser, the all-new Intruder 150 will help the brand to gain more traction in the entry level cruiser space.
Suzuki Intruder 150 shares the mechanical parts with Gixxer, the motorcycle comes powered by a 154.9cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder, four-stroke engine which is also fitted on the latter as well. The motor is tuned to produce 14 bhp of max power with peak torque of 14 Nm @ 4,000 rpm that is mated to a five-speed gearbox. However, the engine on the Gixxer is tuned to produce 14 bhp/ 12.5 Nm & mated to a five-speed gearbox.
The overall appeal of the motorcycle is accentuated by bulbous headlamp, big sculpted tank, projector LED headlamp, sporty shrouds on fuel tank, dual port exhaust, LED tail light, black alloy wheels and more. In terms of dimensions, the new cruiser measures 2130mm in length, 805mm in width and 1095mm in height along with seat height of 740mm.
The bike gets telescopic forks at the front whereas the rear section sees a monoshock setup. The deceleration duties on the motorcycle is carried out by disc brakes at both the ends. Priced at INR 98,340 (ex-showroom Delhi).
