Several injured in collision and pile-up of 13 vehicles

Mass vehicle pileup in Yamuna Expressway in Greater Noida

Fog affected Yamuna Expressway in Greater Noida experienced mass pile-up of vehicles and several people injured.

The collision took place on both sides of the expressway near the under construction eastern peripheral flyway where lanes on both the sides have been closed and barricades have been also laid.

Several people injured and about 13 vehicles were caught pile up due to poor visibility of the road. Six people who suffered minor injuries were shifted to Kailash hospital and given first aid. No reports of serious injuries.

Several parts of North India, and in particular New Delhi, suffer from a dip in temperature during this time of the year that traps air pollution causing a number of medical emergencies due to breathing difficulty.
