The key part of the belt and road is in the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (seepak). The 3,000-kilometer long project connects Xinjiang of China to Gwadar port of Pakistan. It will pass through the Gilgit-Baltistan of Jammu and Kashmir, which India considers its share and it is currently occupied by Pakistan.
