Oman observed its National Day on Saturday, November 18.
On the occasion of the 47th Glorious National Day and according to the Royal Orders of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said, it was decided that Sunday and Monday, December 3 and 4, 2017 will be official holidays for the employees of the ministries, public authorities and other departments of the state administrative apparatus.
The decision said: “On the occasion of the 47th Glorious National Day and as per the Royal Orders of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said, it was decided that Sunday and Monday, December 3 and 4, 2017 will be official holidays for the employees of the ministries, public authorities and other departments of the state administrative apparatus”.
The Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court extended his congratulations to His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said, praying to Allah to protect His Majesty, grant him good health, happiness and a long life and for the return of this and similar occasions on His Majesty for many years to come and the Omani people and our dear country further progress and welfare under His Majesty’s wise leadership.
Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser Al Bakri, Minister of Manpower also issued a decision stating that the holiday for the 47th Glorious National Day at the private sector’s companies and establishments will be on Sunday and Monday, December 3 and 4, 2017.
The decision allowed employers and employees to agree on work arrangements if necessity arises.
All employees in the private sector extended heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said on this glorious occasion, praying to Allah the Almighty to protect His Majesty, grant him good health, happiness and a long life and for the return of this and similar occasions on His Majesty and the Omani people with blessings and well-being.
