US Navy aircraft crashed into sea: In search of remaining crew members

United States Navy plane with 11 people onboard crashed into the Pacific Ocean near Japan. The US Navy’s 7th Fleet was crashed and eight people were found and the search for remaining three was underway. However, it was not clear whether the people found were dead or alive.

The aircraft named C-2 Greyhound was traveling to the USS Ronald Reagan aircraft carrier in the Philippine Sea. Japanese Defence Minister Itsunori Onodera told reporters in Tokyo that the accident occurred due to the engine malfunction.

The accident is the latest in a series of disasters in 2017 for the 7th Fleet, earlier two collisions claim 17 sailor’s life.
