This is the company which provides maximum donation for BJP and Congress….

The Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR) is a non-partisan, non-governmental organization which works in the area of electoral and political reforms. Along with National Election Watch (NEW), which is a conglomeration of over 1200 organizations across the country, ADR aims at bringing transparency and accountability in Indian politics and reducing the influence of money and muscle power in elections.

According to the latest report from Association of Democratic Reforms (ADR), Gujarat’s leading company Torrent Power gave highest donation to the both biggest political parties – BJP and Congress from 2011-12.

From the two, Torrent has given more donation to the BJP than Congress.  The firm, from its Ahmedabad centre, has contributed more than Rs 13 crores to BJP (Rs 13,62,50,000) in the last five years and over Rs. 5 crores to Congress (Rs 5,50,00,000).

The other Torrent Company, Torrent Pharmaceuticals and Cadila’s Cadila Healthcare are also in the top list after Torrent Power.

Rest of the parties haven’t received any donation from these companies.
