New Delhi: The Delhi police has arrested four school students in connection with the shocking murder of a 20-year-old in a moving DTC bus in the national capital.
The murder reportedly took place after their attempt to rob the man of his mobile phone was thwarted.
The incident took place on Thursday at around 3.30 pm in the bus plying from Punjabi Bagh to Badarpur border when a group of four students slit the throat of the 20-year-old over an altercation of the stolen mobile phone.
The victim was checking the pockets of the accused on the suspicion that they had stolen his mobile phone.

“According to witnesses, the unidentified victim boarded the bus at Lajpat Nagar. When the bus reached Ashram Chowk, the teenagers aged 13 to 16 and in school uniform got in,” Deputy Commissioner of Police Romil Baaniya said.
The victim alleged that his mobile phone was stolen by the teenagers, leading to an altercation. One of the youths restrained him while the other stabbed him. They are yet to be apprehended, the police said.
They escaped after threatening the driver.
