ISRO satellites to enhance coastal security: Suspicious vessels will be tracked.

Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) Now by sending photos from satellite, it will help the agencies engaged in coastal and maritime safety to catch suspected ships and boats. Under this new initiative, ISRO will supply 1,000 transpoders for monitoring of satellite phones by March next year. Its purpose is to prevent the infiltration of the sea in India as it was in November 2008 for the attack on Mumbai.

An official of the Home Ministry said on Friday that under the automatic identification system, large boats can be monitored for 20 meters, whereas smaller boats are proposed to be 20 meters. Indeed, the construction of infrastructure for speedy monitoring of suspected ships moving towards Indian Maritime Border is speeding up. Under this, 46 Coastal Radar and 74 Automated Id Systems have been deployed.

There are also color coding of coastal state and union territories for easy monitoring on the seas and the International Maritime Boundary Line (IMBL). All these steps have been taken only by the Ministry of Home Affairs for measures to repair coastal security.

The official said that most fishermen have been given biometric cards. Of the total 19.9 lakh fishermen, 19.7 lakh have been registered, out of which 18.6 lakh cards have been issued. Standard Operating Procedures have been set to deal with the International Borderline (IMBL) violation. In addition, better coordination between all the parties and protection measures on small ports are being increased.

It is noteworthy that along with states like Gujarat, Maharashtra, Goa, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Odisha and West Bengal, along with Union Territories like Daman-Diu, Lakshadweep, Puducherry and Andaman-Nicobar Islands, the total of 7,516 Km The international maritime border passes. Nuclear Plants, Maritime Port, Naval Station, Satellite / Missile Launching Centers and Oil Installations etc. are in these coastal areas. Because of this, it is very important to be completely chalked off for coastal and maritime safety. Between 2005 and 2011, the consolidated coastal security scheme of the first phase has been completed at a cost of Rs 646 crores, while the second phase of the cost of Rs 1,580 crores is on the verge of completion.

It is noteworthy that in November 2008, 10 Pakistani terrorists decided to route Mumbai via Karachi after the hijacking of the Indian fishermen’s boat in the middle of the sea and then in Pakistani ships. The serious thing is that the terrorists have landed on a small coastline with a small boat on the Mumbai coast. Then on 26th November, he attacked the Taj Hotel, which was called the city’s identity, killing 166 people.
