In Riyad, three Keralites jailed for sharing internet with nearby roommates finally rescued from Police custody.
Two natives of Malappuram Firoz, MoideenKuttyy along with Febin Rashid of Trivandrum arrested by Saudi Security forces. The trio was accused for sharing internet with two Yemanites residing in the nearby rooms.
The Saudi security forces urged to the room where the three Keralites lived and arrested the three of charging assisting terrorism in Saudi. The two yemanites were members of a teerorist group and with the internet, they communicated with others.
The two Keralites were released after few days but id owner of internet connection, Febin Rashid wasn’t released by the forces. After some diplomatic moves by the Indian embassy to the Saudi consulate Febin also released from the police custody. Also, the continuous activities led by Ayoob Karupadanna, President of Charity for Pravasi Malayali group and media personal Jayan Kodungalloor made the rescue operation even faster.
According to Saudi rules, sharing internet connection taken for own purpose is strictly illegal. But the Indian citizen living in Saudi are ignorant to these rules.
