New York: An earthquake measuring 4.1 on the Richter scale hit New York City, according to the US Geological Survey (USGS). The incident happened on November 30 at 4:48 PM.
The earthquake was the first in 5.1 magnitude followed by 4.4 and then to 4.1 inches. The tremors were also felt in parts of North Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Connecticut.
The strongest earthquake has been on the East Coast since 2011. No damage or injury has been reported yet. According to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, there is no tsunami warning or weather advisory or other threats.
