Congress will face the same; Amit shah.

National BJP president Amit Shah said on Friday that Congress would meet the similar fate in the December assembly elections here emboldened by the Uttar Pradesh (UP) civic elections victory,

Addressing rallies in Saurashtra, Shah said, “What’s going to happen in Gujarat on December 18 has already happened in UP today. Congress was wiped out in UP and now the party is dreaming to form the government in Gujarat.”

Shah addressed election rallies in Kodinar, Mangrol and Veraval towns.
Taking a dig at Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi, he said, “Rahulbaba cannot see the development in Gujarat because he wears Italian glasses. To see the ground reality he needs to put on local glasses.”

Gandhi family member has been ruling Amethi for the last 60 years. “You can applaud for Rahul if you find roads as good as Kodinar in Amethi. We provide 24 hours electricity, whereas in Amethi people still don’t have connections,” he said.

He said Congress has no issue to contest this election. The party’s sole agenda is to oppose Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Raking up the Somnath temple entry row, Shah said Rahul was lying by saying that he was made to sign a wrong register. “Has anybody made you sign a wrong register in Somnath?” said Shah alleging that Congress is only resorting to caste divide to win the polls.

At one point of time Shah even mimicked the Gandhi scion saying how he had started raising the pitch of his voice. “Who is Rahul to ask for the account of Modi saheb?” he said.
“We have given a PM who speaks unlike Congress who gave the charge to a ‘sample’ whom nobody heard speak ever,” he said without naming Dr Manmohan Singh.

Accusing Sonia Gandhi and Dr Singh of presiding over scams running to Rs 12 lakh crore, the national BJP chief said, “In three-and-a-half years of BJP rule, there is not a single corruption taint on the government.”
