A 26-year-old woman, who works in micro-finance, was raped by a man and took a video of it, which he then used to demand money from her.
The accused, Pervez, had lured her to his home by promising to introduce her to some women looking for loans when she arrived, he was alone at home. He allegedly raped her and took a video of it. He had also financed a two-wheeler through her and was forcing her to pay the EMIs, say police.
Over the last six months, he had managed to extort Rs 2 lakh from her by threatening to leak the video online. When she couldn’t take it any longer, she approached police on Friday evening. He was arrested on Saturday and remanded in jail custody
