Bargarh SP today ordered an investigation into the incident of a viral video showing a college girl being molested in public by some masked men reportedly in Bargarh. The video that went viral also showed the girl’s male friend being thrashed.
The video which is in possession of OTV shows the girl student pleading before the tormentors to let her go. However, some youths masked in towels were seen harassing her repeatedly.
However, the district police are yet to get any clue about the victim and the miscreants.
Padampur SDPO, Laxminarayan Panda said, “Though no complaint has been lodged yet, a probe has been launched as per the directive of the SP.”
