”Please be cool, Don’t be angry, Please”-Defence minister Nirmala seetharaman consoled the people as they actually started to feel the relief from the “Cyclonic pain”.
She made her presence in the relief camps in a compassionate way.The words from the minister have flown as a soothing feel for the grievances of the people who were affected by ‘OCKHI’.
She actually cared and listened to the people by standing herself as one among them.
“I am also a woman.I know the pain of losing someone from the family.I know we cannot have even a drop of water, but please remain calm and pray for our beloved ones.”She started speaking in Tamil to make the people understand the situation apart from linguistic barriers. Honorable ministers Sri. Kadakampalli Surendran, Smt. Mercykuttyamma accompanied her.
The people started to express their sorrow and grievances before the defence minister as she gave them the comfort as such.
After listening to them the minister started speaking in Tamil.
”I am with you…I will be with you until we find the last person who has gone missing or until you tell me to stop searching”.She added.
”It’s not just me, the state-central ministries are here to assist you.The officials are with us to provide all the needful resources ”The minister stated.
Followed by the visit, she patiently listened to all the problems of the people.”If you want to know anything please do share with us, we are here to fulfill all your needs and necessities without any delay.The search is progressing full-fledged.We have saved 403 people as well.
In between, when some person from the crowd started asking questions, She answered,”Brother, give me your WhatsApp number.I will personally update you on the rescue operations, Please do believe me.”!!
