Based on the decisions and the influences of their actions on the society, a person or group is selected as the ‘Person of the Year’.
TIME officially announced that Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has won TIME’s Person of the Year 2017 online reader poll, earning more votes than any other world leader, industry titan, entertainer, and activists.
The 32-year-old heir apparent received 24% of the “yes” votes cast.
2nd place went to the people around the world who shared their experiences with sexual assault and harassment as part of the #MeToo movement, with 6% of the votes.
Finishing 3rd, with 5 percent of votes each, were former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick, special counsel Robert Mueller, and the Dreamers, undocumented immigrants who were brought to the US as children.

Editors at TIME make the ultimate selection of the Person of the Year – identified as the person or group of people who, for better or worse, wielded the most influence in the previous 12 months.
This year, Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman made global headlines as he spearheads political and economic reform within the kingdom.
Key reforms in Saudi Arabia have included the move to allow women to drive, plans to sell a stake in national oil giant Aramco, restricting the powers of the religious authority, and a clampdown on corruption that has seen many royals and business people detained.
Many people on social media have previously shown their support for the Crown Prince to win the TIME Person of the Year 2017 online reader poll
I won’t be surprised if Time’s Person of the Year is Mohammed Bin Salman.

I think Mohammed bin Salman will (and should) be @TIME person of the year, he’s amassed a great deal of power this year. A millennial successor to the throne.
