A 22-year-old national level hockey player was found dead in his car. The player, Rizwan Khan was found with a gunshot wound to his temple area inside her car in South Delhi.
He was a student of Bachelor’s in Arts Second Year at Jamia Millia Islamia and a resident of Subhash Nagar in west Delhi. He was found dead around 10:30 am by his family inside the car parked at Sarojini Nagar, police said.
According to police reports, Rizwan left his home with Rs 2 lakh rupees on Monday afternoon to purchase a motorcycle. But did not return home until late in the night. His mobile phone was also found switched off. Rizwan’s father, Sharif Khan, told that he visited a friend’s house on Monday and left the bag with Rs 2 lakh along with a mobile phone.
Rizwan’s father and other family members reached and found Rizwan’s body in the car. A country-made pistol was found in Rizwan’s hand, who was lying dead in the driver’s seat. The prima facie investigation said that it appears to be a case of suicide and also no suicide note was found on the spot.
